WALLACE, MALE
(25 Jul 1906, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
A Sad Accident.  On the morning of Saturday July 15 near 3:00 o'clock, Mr.
Morgan, who was sleeping in the yard at the home of Mr. Ed Wallace, called
to Mr. Wallace that there was a dog in the yard near where the children
slept.  Mr. Wallace who was sleeping in the house jumped up got his gun,
went to the door, being yet asleep, shot into the bed of  children,
wounding two and killing one, a boy of ten, shooting him through the
bowels.  He only lived three hours and was buried Saturday at the Rodger's
graveyard near Rome (Roger Mills County).
The little boys who were wounded are doing nicely.  The older boy of 12
years was shot through the shoulder, and the younger boy of five years was
shot in the bowels.  Mr. Wallace is almost prostrated with grief.  Mrs.
Wallace is deeply grieved and to add to her trouble her mother, Grandma
Turner, after several months of illness died and was buried on Thursday
before the accident on Saturday. -Texmo Times.
