(6 Mar 1924, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Rube Woodring Instantly Killed Rube Woodring of Texola was instantly killed by a horse early Monday morning. He had started to his farm near Texola and it is not known whether he had mounted the horse or had just started to when he was thrown to the ground. His neck was broken and his skull crushed and he only lived a very few minutes after aid reached him. Mr. Woodring leaves a wife, nine daughters and two sons and a large circle of friends to mourn his death. (6 Mar 1924, Thursday, Sayre Star, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): TEXOLA MAN KILLED WHEN HE IS THROWN FROM HORSE R. B. Woodring of Texola, was thrown from a horse while on his way to his ranch near that city, last Monday and death came instantly as a result of a broken neck. Mr. Woodring has been a rancher in this section of the state for a number of years and has a wide acquaintance over the county who will learn of his misfortunate with sorrow. He leaves a wife and ten children.
