A. Woods in the local hospital Sunday morning at 12:50. Young Woods was 2 years, 1 month and 7 days old at the time of his death and the only child of the parents. The child had been playing on the floor and got hold of a bean and like all young children put it in his mouth. The bean lodged in his throat and could not be removed. He lived 12 hours after the accident. Three doctors were called in the case but nothing could be done to save his life. Funeral services were held from the First Baptist church in Sayre Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. J. H. Burns officiating. Burial was made in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery. Hullum Funeral directors were in charge. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
