Young, formerly of Berlin, Okla., was born in Edmond, Okla., April 20th, 1923, and died March 19th, 1925. She was born in the same room, nearly same hour and day of week she died. She was a beautiful child with brown eyes and auburn curls. The little one met her death by falling backward into a tub of scalding water which was being used to do the weekly washing. When she stumbled and found she was going in the tub she called "Daddy, Daddy" but that was one time Daddy could not help his little girl. ---J. A. Young and family were called Thursday, March 19, by their son and brother, Roy of Edmond, Oklahoma, stating the death of their darling baby, Elise. On account of sickness Myrtle was the only one of Roy's folks there. Little Elsie met her death by falling into a tub of scalding water; on Wednesday, March 18 and passed away at 6:35 P.M. Thursday. Buried in Edmond cemetery at 3 p.m. The Methodist minister, Rev. Carreth preached the sermon and said many words of comfort to the bereaved ones. Little Elsie was an unusually bright baby and was loved by all who knew her. She would try to follow the other children to school. Her parents would watch her so close. Several times the neighbors brought her home and she would get out before they missed her, narrowly escaped being run over by cars. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the good neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us in caring for our darling baby, Elise and for the floral offering which was beautiful. May the Lord bless each and every one of you. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Young and children Mr. A. P. Courtney, sons and daughters. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Young and family.
