GOLDEN WEDDING
On Saturday evening, November 5th, a number of relatives and friends of
MR. AND MRS. D. S. BLAIR assembled at their home in commemoration of their
fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Mr. And Mrs. Blair, having been away from home during the afternoon and
evening their children had planned a surprise that when they returned they
found the house decorated for the occasion with many lovely flowers and
immense wedding cake on the table.
Entertainment was furnished by Mrs. Garland Anderson and Vanita Sanders at
the piano; Mr. Bebee violin and reading by Bro. Solomon. After
refreshments of sandwiches, cake and hot chocolate the wedding cake was
served.
Two guests present who attended the original wedding ceremony. The
bride's brother Mr. John Sanders of Texola and the groom's sister Mrs.
Maggie Griffith of Arapaho.
Other guests present were: Mr. And Mrs. Bebee and family, Mr. And Mrs. J.
G. Fast and sons of Weatherford, Mr. And Mrs. George Clement and Vanita
Sanders, Mr. And Mrs. E. C. Sims and family, Mr. Solomon, Mr. And Mrs. J.
P. Johnson, Mr. And Mrs. M. A. Loftis, Mr. And Mrs. Garland Anderson and
son, Mr. And Mrs. M. A. Howard, Mr. And Mrs. B. A. Howard and family.
Mr. And Mrs. Blair received a number of appropriate and useful gifts.
After congratulation and wishes for continued health the guests departed.
