All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== Dalton, Lee (30 Sep 1959, Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Lee Daltons Will Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dalton will observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary Sunday, October 11 with a reception between the hours of two and five at their home near Carter. All their friends and relatives are invited to attend the reception. Mr. and Mrs. Dalton were married in Carter on October 10, 1909, by Rev. Finis Hare. They have made their home in Carter up to the present time. They are the parents of Loyce Dalton, Farmington, N. M.; Glen Dalton, Colton, Calif.; Cecil Dalton, Pampa, Tex.; Mrs. Bob Barnett, Mangum; Mrs. Tom Johnson, jr., Elk City, and the late Leroy Dalton who died in 1938. They have 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. (18 Oct 1959, Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dalton Have Golden Anniversary Reception Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dalton, Carter, observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Oct. 11 with a reception in their home. Friends and relatives called between the hours of two and five in the afternoon. Four of their five children were present for the celebration. They were Loyce Dalton of Farmington, N.M., Cecil Dalton of Pampa, Tex., Aleen Barnett of Mangum, and Madalyn Johnson of Elk City. Another son, Glen Dalton was unable to attend. Two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Loyce Dalton and Mrs. Glen Dalton, presided at the refreshment table during the reception. Linda Small, a granddaughter, was in charge of the guest book. Guests were directed to the gift display by granddaughters Judy Tappan and Barbara Dalton. Three sisters of Mrs. Dalton, Mrs. Jack Davis, Mrs. John Estes and Mrs. Hiram Henline, assisted thru-out the afternoon. Also assisting were Mrs. Jo Reed and Mrs. Paul Throckmorton, Mrs. Alvie Lookingbill. Mrs. Dalton's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Rogers, were present for the occasion. The table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with flowers in varied shades of yellow and gold.
