(25 Nov 1937, Thurs, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Pioneer Couple Observes Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Edwards, 921 North Sixth Street, celebrated their
fortieth wedding anniversary last week.
The couple was married in Bastrok (sic), Texas., the bride being a girl
with whom he went to school.  They came to Beckham County in 1905.
The couple was honored at a breakfast Sunday morning.  Fish caught in Mr.
Edwards' farm pond was served.  At noon a turkey dinner was served.
Those present were Mr. and  Mrs. Guy Edwards and sons, Eugene and Roy of
New Mexico; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Edwards of Sayre, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Edwards,
Mrs. Betty Wade and Mrs. Lane of Oklahoma City and F. Bibb of Sayre.
