SILVER WEDDING OBSERVED.
MR. AND MRS. ZACK FUNDERBERG were surprised last Thursday night, January
26th, when a group of friends files into their home, to celebrate with
them, the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary.
The wedding march was played and the nupital vows read all over again.
Following felicitations, delicious refreshments were served.
Mr. And Mrs. Funderberg are truly Erick's own having been married here and
here they have continuously resided since. For many years Mr. Funderberg
has owned and conducted the City Market and Grocery on Main St. and is
ably assisted in the business at the present time by his sons Roy and
Olen and daughter Lucille.
Miss Wilemma Fatheree, Mr. And Mrs. E. Jackson, Mr. And Mrs. Chas. Brooks,
Mr. And Mrs. Wm. Sheets, Mr. And Mrs. G. W. Sewell, Mr. And Mrs. Ernest
Pringle, Mr. And Mrs. W. B. Stubbs, Mr. And Mrs. R. S. Dean, Mr. And Mrs.
Roy Funderberg, Miss Lucille Funderberg, Mr. Olen Funderberg, Mr. And Mrs.
L. F. Powell, Mrs. W. O. Wallace.
Accompanying the beautiful set of silver spoons presented to them the good
wishes of the donors were conveyed in the following lines:
There's a memory trail that winding
Of twenty-five years in happy thoughts
Lined with flowers of companionship blooming
Which you called for-get-me-nots.
On this memory trail we're pausing
As we choose a wish for you
And we're hoping and we're praying
For your Golden Anniversary bells to ring true.
