(15 Nov 1953, Sunday, Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Gibson were hosts at a reception in their home Saturday afternoon, November 7, honoring his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank O. Gibson, Gruver, Tex., on their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Another special guest was Mrs. F. O. Gibson's ninety-five year old father, O. J. McGaugh, also of Gruver, but formerly of Elk City. Mr. and Mrs. Gibson were united in marriage on November 3, 1903, near Delhi. They lived in Elk City until 1926, when they moved to Lockney, Tex. From Lockney, they moved to Lubbock, Tex., and in 1929 they established a home in Gruver. The Gibsons became the parents of six children. They are Edwin F. Gibson, Culver City, Calif.; Mrs. Glen Pettit, Oklahoma City; Oscar, Terry, and D. F. Gibson, all of Elk City; and Mrs. Oleta McRee, deceased. Refreshments of coffee and cake were served as the guests arrived. The gifts were opened by the honorees. Those attending and sending gifts were Mr. and Mrs. Pete Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Moore of Sentinel, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Trammel, Hobart; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McCurry, jr., Midland, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gibson, Culver City, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Pettit, Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Ned Kaiser, Delhi. Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Dowdell, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Rayfield, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Warren, Mrs. Bess Lowry, Oscar Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Ray, Mrs. Marjorie Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jones, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Watkins, sr., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Watkins, jr., Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Martin, Norman Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Gibson, and Mr. and Mrs. D. F.
