Keaton spoke the solemn words that united in holy wedlock HENRY A. RUSSELL and ESTELLA CALE, and hand in hand, through sunshine and shadow, this worthy couple have traveled life's pilgrimage since that eventful epoch down to this Silver Jubilee, in a way that more eloquently than human tongue illustrates God's appointed plan. To them have been born six children and from this the strongest chain of earthly ties, Death has claimed no link. To celebrate this anniversary, relatives and friends crowded the hospitable country home of Mr. And Mrs. Russell to its utmost capacity. Numerous and beautiful presents were brought as Love's remembrances of an event that typifies all that is truest and noblest in home life. A sumptuous repast was served and the evening was enlivened by music and recitations. As the trembling dawn seeks fruition in the refulgent sunlight, so Girlhood hope strives for confirmation in the sacred question: I am young and fair, but the rose will blow From my fair young cheek someday; Will you love me then mid December's snow as you do in the blooms of May." And for American manhood, to all that is pure and gracious in American womanhood, once and for all, the groom has answered affirmatively; and the rejoicing in the answer their host of friends wish them another happy expanse in Life's journey. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
