(26 Feb 1961, Sunday, Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Smith To Celebrate Golden Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Smith, 1421 W. Broadway, will observe their 50th
Wedding Anniversary, Sunday, March 5, with open house from 2 til 4 p.m.
Mrs. Smith, the former Rosa Lee Capps, moved from Kentucky to the Port
community with her parents in 1895.  Mr. Smith and his family left Alabama
in the early 1900's, living in Texas for a short time then moved to the
Carter community.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith were married March 5, 1911, near Carter and have lived
in the Elk City vicinity ever since.
All friends of the couple are cordially invited to attend the open house
celebration.
