(25 Sep 1935, Sayre Daily Headlight Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Stout celebrated their golden wedding anniversary September 3. Mrs. Stout was Miss Lemora Coberlay of Chillicothie, Mo., until September 1885. Mrs. Stout, her two brothers, Mr. Stout and his sister were all married at the same time. Mr. and Mrs. Stout are the parents of twelve children. Among these are two sets of twins, two boys and two girls. They have twenty-eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren living. Mr. and Mrs. Stout came to Oklahoma November 1906. They bought a farm ten miles south of Elk City and lived there for ten years. Mrs. Stout and three children were in a cyclone that destroyed the farm but they were not injured. This happened April 27, 1912. They sold this land and bought a farm one and one-half miles north and one-half mile east of Doxey school building.
