William W. (Bill) Christian

Funeral service for William W. (Bill) Christian, age 81, of Chickasha, 
Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2004, in the 
Cyril Assembly of God Church. Sister Alice Wendling will officiate.

William W. (Bill) Christian was born the son of Jesse Christian and Viola 
Mahan Christian on November 13, 1922, in Geary, Oklahoma. He died on 
January 25, 2004, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Bill married Yvonne Robertson on January 15, 1960, in Henrietta, Texas. 
They moved to Cyril in 1968, where he worked for the APCO Refinery, which 
later became ORC, as a machinist. Bill also operated Bill’s Garage and 
Wrecker Service. In 1986, they moved to Chickasha, and Bill operated a 
machine shop out of his shop at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two daughters, 
Wilma Durham and Belva Jane Lasenberry.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Christian of Chickasha; daughters, 
Debbie Browning and Orella Bickerstaff of Chickasha; sisters, Thelma 
Steele of Norge, Edna Mae Fletcher of Visalia, California, and Georgia 
Brower of Chickasha; brother, Raymond Christian of Duncan; 10 
grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery. Service will be under 
the direction of the McRay’s Cyril Funeral Home.
