Driever, 80, died Tuesday, August 3 at his home. His funeral was at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church at Watonga with the Rev. Roy C. Rowlan officiating. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Harris Funeral Home, Watonga. Driever was born June 22, 1896 in Hamburg, Iowa. He moved with his parents to a homestead near Hitchcock at an early age. As an infant he was baptized in the German Evangelical Church at Hamburg, Iowa, and later became a member of the Winnview Presbyterian Church southeast of Hitchcock. He married Mabel Crail December 6, 1916. They resided on a farm near Hitchcock until his retirement when they moved to Watonga where he had since lived. Survivors include two sons, Carl, Palestine, Tex., and George, Lawton; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Beauchamp, Watonga, Mrs. Dorothy Bridgeford and Mrs. Clara Cordell both of Oklahoma City; one brother, Earl, Hitchcock; four sisters, Mrs. May White, Chickasa, Mrs. Ruby Bohr, California, Mrs. Lola Kelley, Watonga, and Mattie Rageth, Chandler; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
