All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Hale, Loyle Loyle Hale, age 71, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at SW Medical Center on Aug. 20, 2002. During his 16-month struggle with cancer he received an enormous amount of love from his family and friends. Born Mar 1, 1931, in Pauls Valley, OK, raised in Geary, OK, by Walter James Hale and Azzie Annie Hale. He is survived by his loving wife Pauline of 47 years, sisters Elizabeth and Reba, and brothers Walter and Harrison. He was a loving father to daughter Debbie (deceased); son Ricky and daughter-in-law Lori, grandchildren Brandee, Cameron; daughter Julie; daughter Angie and son-in law Bobby. Loyle married Pauline June 23, 1955. He served over 20 years in the US Army, serving one tour during the Korean War and 2 tours in Viet Nam, retiring in 1973. He was highly decorated infantryman, earning 3 Bronze Stars for valor, Purple Heart, and Combat Infantry Badge (2nd Award). Later in his career Loyle was a Drill Sergeant, receiving top honors in his class. He then completed a 2nd career in the OHP, from Aug 1974 to Mar 1993. Loyle and Pauline retired to Moore, OK to be closer to their 'Sooners'. He was an avid OU football fan and fisherman. His engaging smile and quick wit will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Loyle's favorite biblical passage is the 23rd Psalm. Graveside services Saturday Aug 24th, 10 a.m. at Spring Creek Cemetery. Go west on Memorial Road to County Line Road, then north on County Road 1/4 mile, entrance on east side. Family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Cancer Center of SW Medical Center. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday at Capitol Hill Funeral Home.
