All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Pleasant Grove City Cemetery--Pleasant Grove UT Kearns, Frank Frank Kearns Burley, Idaho Frank Burl Kearns, a 90-year-old resident of Burley, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at the Courtyard at Jamestown Assisted Living in Provo, Utah. He was born July 18, 1916, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to William Sylvester Kearns and Lottie D. Milar. He spent two years in the U.S. Army stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI during World War II. He was the Cassia County Clerk for 40 years and will be remembered for his great capacity to make even strangers feel like a friend. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and provided service to others for many years. He married Beth Adams on Oct. 13, 1940. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Beth preceded him in death as well as a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Evans. Frank is survived by his current wife, Eloise Beckstead Stokes; two sons, John Frank (Deanne) Kearns of Bountiful, Utah; and William James (Donna) Kearns of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Marguerite Marie Sandmann of Burley, Idaho; and Maxine Moore of Vancouver, Washington; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. We would like to thank Eloise for her tender loving care during Frank's twilight years and the Christ-like care given to Frank by the staff at Jamestown. We would also like to express appreciation to Milinda Hudnall and her hospice staff. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2007, at the Burley Third and Seventh Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2200 Oakley Ave., with Bishop Tracy King officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery with military rites provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, and from 10 until 10:40 a.m. Monday at the church.
