Mr. Lamle was born May 20, 1934 in Okeene, Oklahoma. He died Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. ========= Tuttle Times 5 May 2005 JAMES VERNON LAMLE Funeral services for James Vernon Lamle, 70, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Tuttle. James Vernon Lamle was born May 20, 1934 in Okeene, Oklahoma, the son of Leland and Leah Lamle and died April 30, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. Lamle was born and raised on a farm near Okeene, Oklahoma. He graduated from Okeene in 1953. Mr. Lamle met his wife, Elsie, while attending Draughns Business School in Oklahoma City, and they married May 8, 1955. Mr. Lamle worked for the United States Postal Service in Oklahoma City for 27 years. After his retirement he played golf about three times a week. He also worked for Budget Rent-Car at the airport. He taught his boys how to play sports and never beat them in golf! He was also known for yelling at umpires and referees. Mr. Lamle was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle, National Association of Letter Carriers, Past president of Tuttle All Sports Booster Club. He was preceded in death by: Parents: Leah and Leland Lamle; one daughter: Deborah Lamle. Survivors include: Wife: Elsie Lamle of the home; two sons and their wives: Curtis and Susie Lamle of Overton, Texas, Adam and Patti Lamle of Cache, Oklahoma; one sister: Madeline Schroeder of Okeene, Oklahoma; two brothers: Richard Lamle of Hitchcock, Oklahoma, Glen Ray Lamle of Holdenville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Ryne, Autumn, Brock, Kelly, Austin and Jenson; best friends: Bob and Doris Bellah, Darrell and Barbara Carson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
