PHIPPS Mrs. Marvin Phipps, 49, formerly of Geary, died Friday at Sayre hospital. Funeral service was held at Geary Christian church on Monday, January 27, at 2 p.m. with Rev. G.N. Gibbel, Clinton, officiating. Burial was made at Geary Cemetery. Elsie Mae Phipps, daughter of Katherine and the late David Nusz, was born at Okeene on July 28, 1908. Elsie was united in marriage with the late O.P. Goldsmith on August 22, 1930. To this union was born one daughter. On October 28, 1938, she was married to Mr. Marvin Phipps. They made their home at Sayre most of the time since then and she was a faithful member of the Christian church there. Among the survivors are the husband, now of Elk City, the daughter, Mrs. Trigg Music, jr., Elk City,, her mother, of Geary, six sisters, Mrs. Gilbert Urton, Geary, Mrs. David Costine, San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Billy Dunn, Lancaster, Calif., Mrs. Bill Arthurs, Atascadero, Calif., Mrs. Herbert Gibson, England, and Mrs. Louis Hood, El Reno.
