Scott of Emmett, Idaho, formerly of Eugene, died March 28 of age- related causes. He was 86. Scott was born, one of 10 children, on June 2, 1917, in Geary, Okla., to Rolla and Josephine Lindahl Scott. He married Ruby Mapes in Watonga, Okla., on Aug. 6, 1938. They were divorced. He later married Dorothy Allen. He lived in this area for 25 years. He also lived in Nebraska, Wyoming, California and Washington before settling in Emmett. He served in the Navy Seabees. He worked as a carpenter and built many homes in Lane County. He enjoyed wood working, playing country western music on his fiddle and canning fruits and vegetables. He also enjoyed horseback riding and holding mini rodeos at his home. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Gretchen Runyon of Florence and June Blomquist of Eugene; a son, Colin of Sumpter; two stepdaughters, Pat and Ginger, both of Idaho; a stepson, Rick of Idaho; a brother, Om of Apache Junction, Ariz.; his former wife of Florence; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A daughter died in 1943. No service is planned.
