R.C. Hopper. Burial was in Collins Cemetery, the Howley Funeral Home being in charge. George H. Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Scott, was born March 12, 1903, on a farm near Ames. He passed away Feb. 27, 1946, in the Okeene hospital at the age of 43 years, 11 months, and 15 days. At the age of three he moved with his parents to Okeene and two years later to Enid. When he was eight years old he and his brother, Enoch, came to the home of his uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Scott, where he remained until he married to Miss Margaret Haffner on August 9, 1926. They established their home eight miles east and four miles south of Okeene, where they lived until his death. To this union was born one son, J.B. Scott, now in the U.S. Navy. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife and son; two brothers, Edward and Enoch; five uncles, William and Christian Anderson, Pete Johnson, John and Harvey Scott; one aunt, Mrs. Bertha Bryngelson; other relatives and friends. George made a profession of religion and joined the Methodist Church at the age of 12.
