In 1872 she was married to Joseph B. Stott. To this union, nine children were born. One son and one daughter and her husband preceeded her in death. Four daughters, Mrs. Juna Childers, resides in Cullison, Kansas; Mrs. Mae Fox near Higgins, Texas; and Mrs. Gertie Eisenman, near Minco, OK; four sons, Frank, near Binger, Joe, of Eagle City, Will of Canton, and Warren of Watonga, are left to mourn her death. All were present with her during her sickness. She died November 3, 1938, aged 89 years, 11 months and three days, at her home in Watonga, where she had lived the past years. She was a good Christian woman and a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed in our midst. But we know our loss is Heaven's gain, so why weep for we know she is where no storm clouds arise or we ever grow old. Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Stott were held Saturday, November 5, at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of the Keller Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Glore Reneau and interment was in the IOOF Cemetery. The Keller Funeral home had charge of the arrangements. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Blaine County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/blaine/blaine.htm
