His name was William Gray (Willie) Parson, wife was LaVilla Perkins. Willie was born in Muscogee Co, Ga. March 26, 1875. They married Feb. 5, 1899 in Lamar Co. Tx. They moved to Bennington, I. T. when my mother was young, their first child Lillian was born in I.t in 1902 I found them on 19l0 Census. They lived there until after my Grandfather Willie was killed accidently. He and a Mr. Smith were in business. The census said he bought and sold cattle. He was accidently killed by a butcher knife in the pocket of his left jumper. When he went to step up into low cart, they used to haul the dead cow in. He stepped up with his left leg and drove the knife through his heart. My grandmother lived there while after his death.The baby boy was still born about 4 months after his death. Grandma (LaVilla Perkins) bought or had to buildings. She had Hat Store in one building and other one rented. After they burned down she moved children back to Lamar Co, Texas. They had one child born in Maytoy, Ruby Leona Parsons) Willie Gray has some relatived living in Boswell at present time. Willie's Father was George Washington (Joe) Parson had two wifes. First one was Ella Nora Harris from GA. She died young and he moved into Okla with children with Ella's Sister Louisiana Rosa, (Aunt Lou) I remember her and she died in early 1940 at Walter Harris Parson. Walter was born in Blue Okla. Willie had 2nd. daughter Lilliam went to school in Durant, became a teacher. She taught school in Bryan Co. and I think in Chocotaw some. She lived in the rural country side and I can remember some of the schools she taught in. Later in life Willie's father George Washgington (Joe) Parson moved nto Okla. He had one son Walter Harris born in city of Blue. One daughter born in Durant. Some of Joe Parsons children were born in Lamar Co, some in Indian Territory, moved back to lamar Co later. (Geo. Wash.(Joe) m for 2nd. time to sister of his first wife. Willie Gray Parson was of first wife. They are buried in Garretts Bluff Cem. Lamar Co, Tx. Back then they went back and forth to Okla by Ferry Boats all along Red River. Willie's 2n.d child Lilliam Parson went to college in Durant, became school teacher in country schools. Iron Stob. Wade.Lake West, etc. My brother knows all the places she taught school. He is much older than I am. I do remember Lake West School. Two room school, I remember my mother saying her father sent cows on train to Ft. Worth and she went with him. (This I don't know if there were trains going from there to Ft. Worth. ) My mother Rena was oldest and she rode horses with her father and was very close to him. Geo. Wash. Joe Parson had a brother that moved over into Okla, named John Parson,older than Geo. Wash. Parson. He married 3 times to Indian women. I know of the last wife and they had 3 children but do not know who the first 2 were. I think they were around Hugo. Geor. Washing had children of Louisiana (Lou) Rosa. Some of this later family were born in Bryan Co but moved back toLamar Co. Tex. Around communities Ragtown, Belk, and Garretts Bluff. Most of them are buried at Garretts Bluff Cemetery Or West Post Oak cemetery. (There is a West & East Post cemeteries in Lamar Co. Tx.
