All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Rosewood Cemetery--Achille OK Durant Democrat 15 Nov 2004 Hall Alexander, 63 Services for life-long Bryan County resident and educator Hall Edward Alexander will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Yuba school gymnasium. Interment will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille. Mr. Alexander was born on Oct. 27, 1941, in Yuba to the late Eugene and Ida Belle (Caldwell) Alexander. He passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, In Denison, Texas. He married Evelyn Bracket March 27, 1961, in Yuba. Hall and Evelyn made their life in Yuba, later referred to by Hall as the place "Where the sun kisses the earth every morning." Hall led a life dedicated to education and held numerous positions in the field, which included teacher, coach and superintendent at Yuba, Achille and Calera. He was also Regional Accreditation officer for the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Hall retired as the director of the Kiamichi Technology Center, Bryan County Campus in 1995. Hall was a member of Yuba Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge No. 159. He served on the Big Five Community Services Board of Directors and was currently serving on the Southeastern Electric Co-op Board of Directors. Hall is survived by his wife of the home, Evelyn Alexander; son Jeffrey M. Alexander, Yuba; daughter Natalie Johnson and husband Joe, Durant; grandson Alexander Johnson, Durant; sisters Linda Gist and husband Aubry, Bonham, Texas., Brenda Newbern and husband John, Sulphur; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. today at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home. Mr. Alexander's family requests that memorials be made to the Yuba Public School site.
