All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 31 Jan 2005 Leon Anderson, 78 Services for Leon Anderson, 78, who died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Temple, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch, Texas. Mr. Anderson was born July 29, 1926, in Durant. Leon married Jewell Gurley on Jan. 13, 1956, in Durant. He and his wife Jewell moved to Temple in July 2004 after living in Fritch since 1952. Mr. Anderson retired from Phillips Petroleum, where he was an engineering draftsman. He was also a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Jewell, of the home; two sons, Billy and wife Pam Anderson, Belton, Texas, and Robert and wife Margaret Anderson, Georgetown, Texas; one daughter, Betty and husband Ronnie Gunter, Fritch; one brother, Richard and wife Opal Anderson, Durant; two sisters, Mary and husband Jerry Ayers, Durant, and Bobbie and husband Max Crim, Durant; and two grandchildren, Amanda and Jordan Gunter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Bryan County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/bryan/bryan
