All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 23 May 1997 Mary Edna Lee Baskin Mary Edna Lee Baskin, 82, of Fort Worth, formerly of Amarillo, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Gene Box, brother of the deceased and pastor of Central Baptist Church in Pensacola, Fla., officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Baskin was born in Caddo, Okla., and spent most of her life in Amarillo before moving to Fort Worth. She was a homemaker and had worked for Amarillo Independent School District. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Amarillo. Survivors include a son, Sam Baskin of Amarillo; three daughters, Barbara Brogdon of Fort Worth, Peggy Holder of Bridgeport and Sue Mouton of Azle; five sisters, Winnie Smith and Sammie Patterson, both of Plainview, Janie Pillow of Amarillo, Jonell Sims of Friona and Margaret Brown of Brownfield; three brothers, Charlie Box of San Diego, Gene Box of Pensacola and Dean Box of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
