All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Democrat 13 Nov 2004 Harold Wayne Baker, 67 Harold Wayne Baker died unexpectedly in Lancaster, Calif., on Oct. 31, 2004, of a heart attack. He was 67. He was born in Colbert on Sept. 5, 1937, to Cecil Boone Baker and Myrtle Joann Estep Baker Murray. With his wife of 40 years, Felicia Herrera Baker, he spent a lifetime traveling all over the world. They lived in numerous states from Florida to Hawaii. Their final years together were spent in California. He was a member of the BPO of Elks Lodge No. 1625 in Lancaster, and together they were members of the BPO of Eagles Lodge in West Los Angeles. Services will be held in Colbert at the First Baptist Church of Colbert. Rev. Larry Myers will officiate. He will be laid to rest in Colbert at 1 p.m. Saturday next to his mother and baby sister Nelda. He is survived by daughter Ursula Baker and son Steven of Dallas, Texas; half-sisters Pat Reed, Platter, and Beverly "Cookie" Miller, Colbert; half-brother Cecil Baker, Colbert; daughter-in-law DeAnne; and grandchildren Caroline, William and Pierce.
