Survivors omitted. Durant Daily Democrat Sunday, February 22, 2004 Myrtle Rose Boystun, 76 A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church, Anadarko, for Myrtle Rose Boydstun. Boydstun was born Sept. 12, 1927 north of Cuervo, N.M., to John and Lilly Mae (Cox) Jones. She graduated from Santa Rosa High School and, on Nov. 8, 1946, she married Calvin Boydstun, whom she met while he was deer hunting in New Mexico. They returned to his farm near Washita where they lived until the fall of 1999 when health problems forced them to move to Duncan. Boydstun was the visiting teacher for Anadarko Public School for 21 years. Her favorite things were her family, friends, gardening and fishing in the Washita River. She was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home.
