All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 10 Sep 1998 Loyd Louis Bohannan HOUSTON - Loyd Louis Bohannan, 80, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Bear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Peace officiating. Graveside services will be at a later date in Dumas. Arrangements are by Crowder Funeral Home of Dickinson. Mr. Bohannan was born in Achille, Okla. He served during World War II in the Pacific and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He retired as an operation manager with American Zinc and also belonged to a A.L.S. Support Group of Houston. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie. Survivors include his wife, Marie; four daughters, Linda Marsh of Alvin, Susan Pate of Midland, Darlene Childs of Seabrook and Vickie Cummings of Greenville; a son, Loyd L. Bohannan Jr. of Pampa; four sisters, Doris Sleeman of Euless, Ida Fay Sampson of Savoy, Josephine Sanders of Dallas and Billie Ruth Rice of Dennison; a brother, Donald Bohannan of Colbert, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
