Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Christian Church of Canadian with Roger Smelser, senior minister, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mrs. Brooks was born in McLennan County. She married Buster B. Brooks in 1925 at Caddo, Okla. They moved to Canadian in 1928 from Caddo. Mrs. Brooks worked for Canadian Laundry and Dry Cleaners for 15 years. She was a member of First Christian Church of Canadian. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy "Sam'' Brooks, in 1973. Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Daphine Traywick of Abbeville, La., Connie Hallson of Hay, Wash., Vona Benge and Paulette King, both of Canadian, Zelda Roberson of Muleshoe and Kay Taylor of Hobart, Okla.; a son, Wayne Brooks of Amarillo; a brother, James Mosteller of Dumas; two sisters, Mary Fielding of Levelland and Zelma Boone of Denver City; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat-grandchildren.
