All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Santa Rosa Memorial Park--Santa Rosa CA Burden, Hollie BURDEN, Hollie Passed away peacefully at his home in Santa Rosa on Thursday, September 14, 2006. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Marjory and his children, Susan Elliott and Steven Burden, of Santa Rosa, his loving grandchildren, Tirrell, Amanda and Jessica Burden, Tyson Hutcheson, Emily and Bradley Elliott, one great grandchild, Deakoda Burden-Taylor and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son James Burden. Hollie was born in Durant, OK on October 20, 1920, the youngest on nine children. He moved to California as a young adult and joined the US Navy. After the service, he spent the next 40 years as a painting contractor in Sebastopol, Forestville and the River communities. In his spare time he loved to camp and water ski at Lake Mendocino with his family. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Hollie's Life on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at 2161 Dennis Lane, Santa Rosa. Private interment at Santa Rosa Memorial Park. The family extends a special thank you to the dedicated staff of Memorial Hospice.
