Janelda Burleson

Janelda Burleson, 61, of Austin and a former Amarillo resident, died 
Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 
S. Osage St., with the Rev. F.M. Byford of Paramount Baptist Church 
officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Burleson was born in Kenefic, Okla., and was a longtime Amarillo 
resident. She was a registered nurse at Northwest Texas Hospital, Texas 
Tech University Health Sciences Center and retired from the Bill Clements 
unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She attended Paramount 
Baptist Church. In 1995, she moved to Austin.

Survivors include two sons, Toby Burleson of Austin and Greg Burleson of 

Kuna, Idaho; her mother, Charlene Airington of Pittsburg; a sister, Rosena 
Yeager of Sidney, Mont.; a brother, Everett Airington of Dallas; and a 
granddaughter.

The family requests memorials be to the American Diabetes Foundation.
