Friday, November 28, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat George Lee Brown, 73 A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coffey-Murray Chapel for George Lee Brown, 73, Mead, who died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2003, at his residence. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ============= Sunday, November 30 ,2003 Durant Daily Democrat George Brown, 73 A service was at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel for George Brown, 73, Mead, who died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at his residence. The Rev. Andy Brockelman officiated. He was born Sunday, Aug. 3, 1930, in Umpire, Ark., to Egbert and Annis (Strasner) Brown. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army and was a plumber for Allen's Plumbing and Heating in Denison, Texas. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Burial was in Highland Cemetery with pallbearers Steve Roper, Billy Roper, Kirk Brown, Robert Brown, Mitchael Brown, Tony Brown, Jimmy Roger and Shane Brown. VFW Post No. 3916 conducted graveside rites.
