All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Brown, Talmadge Cyrus BROWN-Talmadge Cyrus Brown, 86, died Monday, March 5, 2007 in Abilene, Texas Mr. Brown was born on October 23, 1920 near Durant, Oklahoma where he grew up and attended school. He served as a Military Police in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Camp Barley where he met Minnie Jones whom he married on August 2, 1941. He lived in Pico Rivera, California for 40 years where he worked 18 years for US Rubber and 20 years for Rose Hills Memorial Park. In 1982, Mr. Brown returned to Abilene to be near family and enjoy retirement at Lake Ft. Phantom. He loved camping, enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels, was a Ham Radio Operator and spent a lot of time in his wood shop working on various wood craft projects. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Minnie of Abilene; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ed Shepherd of Abilene; 2 grandchildren, Dodie Van Vleet and husband Frank and Tina May and husband Rick all of Whittier, Califorina; and 3 great grandchildren, Collin Van Vleet, Ricky May and Nathan May. His parents, four brothers and a grandson, Scott Edwards preceded him in death.
