Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- THE DURANT DAILY DEMOCRAT TUESDAY, JAN. 12, 1999 Effie Paddock Behrens, 75 Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Today at Armstrong Baptist church for Effie Paddock Behrens, 75, Caddo, who died Sunday, Jan.10, 1999, in Caddo. The Revs. Bob Johnson and Ray Mayhue officiated. The daughter of William H. and Gertrude Lillian (Long) Paddock, she was born on Tuesday, June 26, 1923, in Caddo. Mrs. Behrens was a lifelong resi-dent of Bryan County and a house-wife. She lived in Armstrong for 33 years before moving to Caddo in 1979. She was a member of the Armstrong Baptist Church; Arm-strong Rome Demonstration Club; enjoyed quilting, bingo and was an avid Caddo Basketball fan. She married John F. Behrens of Caddo on Dec.15, 1939, in Durant. Mr. and Mrs. John and Effie Behrens recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Behrens was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Lloyd Paddock and sisters Dorothy Mullens and Juanita White. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo under the direction of Murray Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Caddo Educational Foundation, Box 108, Caddo, OK 74729. Family hour was from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
