Brewer, 77 Services are pending with Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home for Roy G. Brewer, 77, Caddo, who died today at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home. ========= Durant Daily-Democrat 18 Dec 2004 Roy Gene Brewer, 77 Services for Roy Gene Brewer, 77, Caddo, who died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at the Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home in Durant, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kenefic Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Cook will officiate. He was born Saturday, Oct. 15, 1927, to Lee Roy and Eva (Cupit) Brewer. He was a lifelong resident of the Caddo and Kenefic area. He married Flodell Marie Jackson Dec. 10, 1949, in Durant. He loved fishing and gardening and was a member of the Kenefic Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Gerald Eugene Brewer; daughter Regina White; grandson James Lee White; sister Helen Morriss; and brothers Ernest Brewer; Luther Brewer, Carl Brewer and Weldon Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Caddo; son Jerry Brewer and wife Wynona, Caddo; daughters Glenda Ables and husband Val, Hot Springs, Ark., and Tammy Chavez, Caddo; brother Art Brewer and wife Stacy, Durant; sisters Willie Ruth Gordon and husband Bobby, Dalhart, Texas, Francis Kasinger and husband Ray, California, Barbara Woodral and husband Bobby, California, Joyce Britton and husband Willard, Colorado, and Lois Herring, California; granddaughters Elaine Ansley and husband Tom, Boswell, Amanda Brewer, Durant, Ashley Brewer, Durant, and Abbie Chavez, Caddo; grandsons Vernon White and Bailey Chavez, both of Caddo; and great-grandson Morgan Ansley. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Caddo, with C.J. White, Glovis Hall, Dusty Rhodes, Ronnie Hall, Donald Phillips and Gerald Avant serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at dhfh@communicomm@com.
