Clara was born April 23, 1932 in Caddo, OK to her parents Odious Lee and Alberta Bow (Keener) Adams. She married December 1, 1949 Joseph Oscar Brassfield, who predeceased her in 1998. In a generation where the working woman met with many challenges Clara spent forty-one years as a paralegal finishing her career with the prestigious firm of Gable & Gotwals. Yet she excelled even more at home as she is remembered being a hard working mother of three who sacrificed for the sake of her family. The investment she made in them will live on throughout their lifetimes. Clara is survived by: her 3 sons, Joseph Daniel Brassfield of Winterville, GA, David Eugene Brassfield of Kansas City, MO, and James Dennis Brassfield of Tulsa, OK; her brother Donald Joe Adams of Madill, OK; 2 grandchildren James Dennis Brassfield, Jr. and Jasmine Parks. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.
