All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Bauer FH--Snohomish WA Browning, Jess Willard Jess Willard Browning Jess Willard Browning was born on August 18, 1927, in Bennington, Oklahoma and passed away on September 12, 2007. He was one of six children born to J. F. and Callie Browning. Jess had many talents and abilities...he was a Navy Seaman during World War II, he was a logger, a truck driver, he hauled hay and worked in factories just to mention a few. He loved to tell his stories and exhibit his sense of humor to his family and friends. Until he became ill, he always had a big smile and a friendly attitude toward everyone he met. He enjoyed volunteering for the Snohomish County Food Bank. He loved to write letters to the editor and had a few published. He was asked by school teachers to come talk to young children about historical events he recalled during his life time. He was an avid reader. Jess could read 5-10 books a week. His favorite author....Louis Lamour. Jess married his second wife, Emma Green Kern in 1956. They moved to Lake Stevens, WA many years ago. Emma preceded Jess in death in 1996. Jess is survived by his son, retired National Guard Chief Warrant Officer Five DeWayne Browning and wife, Kathy; a daughter, Linda Murray and husband, Michael; from his first marriage, his three daughters by marriage, Donna Balistreri, Bonnie Bollinger, and Carol Holser; grandchildren, Shannon and husband, Martin, Michael Murray and wife, Carol, Patrick Murray and wife, Jennifer, DeWayne Browning, Jeremy Browning, Tamara and Thomas Plummer, April Vara, Michael Vara, Mark Vara and wife, Kristine, Heidi Nordhagen and husband, Gary, John Poyser, Army Sgt. Major Jeffery Balistreri and wife, Kelly, and Brian Balistreri and wife, Michelle; great-grandchildren, Steven, Anna, Hayden, Aiden, Liam, Maddy, Alexis, Anika, Sara, Gabriel, and Rebecca. Services will be held at 3 p.m., on Friday, September 14, 2007, at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish.
