All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Salas Brothers FH--Modesto CA Cupit, Billy Ray BILLY RAY CUPIT JAN. 3, 1932 - DEC. 25, 2006 Billy Ray Cupit, age 74, passed away at his residence in Hickman, California. He had been a resident there for 30 years, previously in Waterford. He was born to James Franklin Cupit and Pearl Ellen (Hartis) Cupit on January 3, 1932 in Caddo, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver for Foster Farms, 35 years. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Cupit of Chillicothe, TX; two daughters, Donna Van Houten and Cherrie Cupit, both of Hickman; son, Greg Cupit, also of Hickman; four brothers, Gene Cupit of Oakdale, Lee Cupit and Jerry Cupit, both of Waterford, and Steve Cupit of Logan, Alabama; sisters, Margaret Smith of Madera, Ora Hastins of Modesto and Merle Rhoads of Waterford; and five grandchildren: Tracy Miller of Oakdale, Michael Whiteley,also in Oakdale, Christy Addor of Riverbank, Tiffany Wingo of Waterford and Billy Van Houten of Hickman; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Pearl Cupit; and brothers, Harry Cupit, Donald Cupit and Jim Cupit. Viewing will be held from 4-8 p.m. today, Thurs. Dec. 28 with funeral service at 10 a.m. Fri., Dec. 29; both at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto.
