All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Highland Cemetery--Durant Durant Democrat 20 Nov 2004 Dale Cozbey, 75 A service for Dale Cozbey, 75, Durant, who died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Durant. Rev. Greg Tolle and Rev. Herb Bridgewater will officiate. He was born Thursday, July 25, 1929, in Tupelo, to Eunice and Lydia (Rodgers) Cozbey. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Durant. He taught school at Bokchito for over 30 years. After retiring, he taught science part-time at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He loved to be involved with the 4-H kids and loved traveling all over the world. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting Coca Cola cans. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Troy, Earl and William Cozbey. He is survived by sisters Oma Mozell Wells, Durant, and Marie Orvetti, Waterberry, Conn.; nephews Levvin Wells, Bennington, Stan Cozbey, Crowder, Donald Cozbey, Crowder, Lendy Wells, Bennington, Joe Orvetti, New York, Wendell Wells, Wade, and Jim Cozbey, Childress, Texas; nieces Kathleen Mize, Denton, Texas, and Estelle Fant, Durant; and a host of gamily, great nieces and nephews and friends. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Durant, with great and great-great nephews serving as pallbearers.
