Durant Daily Democrat Monday, February 23, 2004 Alma Cole, 76 Services are pending with Brown’s Funeral Home Service for Alma Cole, 76, Durant, who died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. ============== Durant Daily Democrat Tuesday, February 24, 2004 Wednesday, February 25, 2004 Alma Cole-Ned, 76 A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sulphur Springs Methodist Church, Bennington, for Alma Cole-Ned, 76, Durant, who went to be with her Lord Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at the Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. The Revs. Abe Jackson and Olin Williams will officiate. Alma was born Sept. 19, 1927 in Bennington, to Robert and Mary Sanders. She attended Manning School. Cole-Ned was married to Cecil Cole until his death in 1968 and was later married to Jack Ned until his death in June, 2002. Cole-Ned worked hard as a homemaker and dedicated her life to her children and family. She was proud to be 100 percent Choctaw Native American, and supported the Choctaw Nation. She enjoyed gospel music, playing the piano and arts and crafts. Cole-Ned was a member of the Sulphur Springs Methodist Church in Bennington. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend who lived her life for her children. She will be greatly missed by many. Cole-Ned was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son Danny Wayne Cole; brother Alex Sanders; sisters Samantha Williams, Lillion Hamill and Glassie Evans; and half-brother Silas Billy. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery with pallbearers Kevin James, Derek James, Brandon James, Randy Roman, Lee Roman, and Anthony Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Evans, Larry Evans, Jonathan Baldillez and Eddie Garza. Family hour will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
