Claborn, 75, Durant, who died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, in Calera Manor Nursing Home. ========== Durant Daily Democrat 2 Mar 2000 Willie "Bill" Dee Claborn, 77 Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brown's Funeral Home Chapel for Willie "Bill" Dee Claborn, 77, who died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, in Calera Manor Nursing Home. The Rev. Freddie Waldrep will officiate. =========== Durant Daily Democrat 3 Mar 2000 Willie "Bill" Dee Claborn, 77 Services were 2 p.m. today in Brown's Funeral Home Chapel for Willie "Bill" Dee Claborn, 77, who died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, in Calera Manor Nursing Home. The Rev. Freddie Waldrep officiated. Claborn was born October 15, 1922, to Will Ed and Pearl Lee (Ford) Claborn in Ector, Texas. He attended schools in Ector and Achille. He was a Bryan County resident since 1934. On Sept. 27, 1982, he married Dessie L. Krebbs in Durant. He was a mechanic for Chevrolet dealers for more than 22 years. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and part of a bomber group, serving in the U.S. Army during World War II Pacific Theater. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Claborn was preceded in death by his parents, a son and daughter. He is survived by his wife; sons, Eddie Paul Claborn, Bokchito, Robert Claborn, Durant, and family friend, Michael Jones, Minden, La.; daughters, Joyce Durate, Gilroy, Calif., and Jeanie Latham, Devine, Texas; brothers, Jeff Elbert Claborn, Morristown, Tenn., Eddie Claborn Jr., Blue, and Tommy Claborn, Nida; sister, Minnie Lee Mote, Durant; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family received friends at the home. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery with pallbearers Terry Curtis, Ricky Mote, Michael Jones, Josh Claborn, Gary Claborn and Randy Claborn.
