Callahan, Ruth Gardner Cochran Ruth Gardner Cochran Callahan, 77, of OKC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2004. She was born on February 20, 1927 in Caddo, Oklahoma to Dr. and Mrs. Roy L. Cochran. She is survived by her husband, James T. Callahan, daughter Shannon Pritchard and husband, Mark, along with two grandchildren, Hunter and Parker. Her son, Tom Callahan preceded her in death in 1983. Ruth was one of 6 children and is survived by her two sisters, Shannon Bilbo of Norman, Oklahoma and Jean Creel of Waxahachie, Texas along with many nieces and nephews and other family members who loved her dearly. Her brothers, Dr. Bryce Cochran of MWC and Howard Cochran of Amarillo, Texas preceded her in death along with Len Cochran who died in infancy. Ruth graduated from Southeastern University in 1946 with a Bachelors Degree in music education. She was an extremely talented musician and thoroughly enjoyed teaching and sharing her love of music to her many students in the various school systems in which she was employed prior to an automobile accident in May 1984. Ruth's family loved her and will miss her but rejoice that her eternity has begun with her Savior, Jesus, in heaven. Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 2nd at Country Estates Baptist Church in MWC conducted by Ford Funeral Service. Graveside services will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in MWC. Ford Funeral Service 305 S.
