All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 18 Jan 2005 Clyde Dell Collins Sr., 57 A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cunningham's Achille Funeral Chapel for Clyde Dell Collins Sr., 57, Achille, who died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at his residence. Bro. Doyle Pair will officiate. The son of the late Richard Burnam and Helen Louise Waddell Collins, Clyde was born Aug. 5, 1947, in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the Meadowlark Baptist Church in Quinlan, Texas. He was a chef and had lived in Dallas most of his life. Collins lived in Bryan County for one month. Also preceding him in death were his wife Debra Collins, a granddaughter Brianna Collins, brother John Jarvis and a sister Carolyn Newell. Survivors include sons Clyde Collins Jr., Jeffrey Collins, Michael Collins, Jason Collins, Joshua Collins and John Collins, all of Quinlan; daughters Lisa Ray and Jenny Collins, both of Quinlan; sister Linda Toombs and husband Bill, Achille; special aunt Wanda Crowell, Mesquite, Texas; nieces Tammy Farrell and husband Vernon, Achille; Kristal Lankston, Achille, Misty Jarvis and Robin Snow, both of Mesquite; nephews Jimmy Burns and wife Jamie, Stillwater, Damon Jarvis, Greenville, Texas, Kevin Burns and wife Christa, Durant, Brian Newell and wife Tracy, Rowlett, Texas, and Jamie Newell and wife Sabrina, Mesquite. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery, Achille, with Jason Collins, Kevin Burns, Brandon Farrell, Jimmy Burns, Clyde Dell Collins Jr. and Michael Collins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Farrell and J.R. Toombs. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
