All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Mead Cemetery--Mead OK Durant Daily Democrat 31 Mar 2005 Rebecca Ann Camp, 50 Services for Rebecca Ann Camp, 50, of Mead, who passed away Monday, March 28, 2005, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Durant. Rev Philip Winn will officiate. Rebecca was born January 27, 1955, in San Bernardino, California, to George Pickens, Sr. and Beatrice Irene (Goolsby) Pickens. Rebecca attended Mesquite High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She moved to the Durant area in 1983 from Texas, and she married Joel Camp December 16, 1994, in Durant. Rebecca enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother and she loved to sew. She was of the Baptist faith. Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, George and Beatrice Pickens. Survivors include her husband, Joel Camp of the home; son Eddie Simpkins, Jr. and wife Doris of Odessa, Texas; daughter Tonya Coxsey of Mead; daughter Elizabeth Simpkins of Mead; son Joseph Simpkins and wife Claudia of Dallas, Texas; step-daughter Susan Wilkins and husband Paul of Danville, Arkansas; brother, George Pickens of Texas; brother, Ronnie Bell, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; sister Carolyn Shannon and husband Paul of Bauch Springs, Texas; 17 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and a host of friends. Family hour will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mead Cemetery with Paul Shannon, Troy Pierce, George Pickens Jr., David Thompson and Lewis Lopez serving as pall bearers. Condolences may be sent to brownsfs@sbcglobal.net.
