All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Celestial Gardens Cemetery--Cyril OK Comanche County Chronicle Written by: Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher Virgie Curry September 15, 1914 ~ January 31, 2005 CYRIL- Funeral services for Virgie Lee Curry, 90, of Cyril, will be held Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Cyril Church of Christ with Doug Graham, pastor, Tom Brazell of Cyril, Noel Curry, a brother, and Edward Curry, a nephew, officiating. Ms. Curry died Monday, January 31, 2005 in an Anadarko nursing center. Burial will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. MS. Curry was born September 15, 1914 in Kemp, OK, Bryan County, to James B. Curry and Jennie Lee (Barnett) Curry. She moved with her family to Sterling at the age of 7. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1933. Virgie moved to Amarillo, TX in 1946 and later to Albuquerque, NM. She moved to Lawton in 1967 and was employed with Freeman Construction as a bookkeeper and retired from there in 1976. At that time she moved to Cyril, where she had lived since. She was a member of the Cyril Church of Christ. Survivors include; 2 sisters; Doris Bennett and Louise Janousek, both of Cyril, 2 brothers; Ronnie Curry of Sterling and Noel Curry of Cochise, Arizona. 6 nieces; Deloris VanAmberg of Eagle, Michigan, Helen Barnard of Cochise, AZ, Janna Cornelius of Carrollton, TX, Kellie Raper of Leslie, Michigan, Linda Baughman of Vernon, TX, and Lisa Coleman of Sterling. Four nephews; Ronnie James Curry of Sterling, Edward Curry of Pearce, AZ, Kenny Mike Curry of Sterling and Marty Curry of Sterling, 28 great nieces and nephews.
