Eva E. Cross  
 
Eva E. Cross, 93, of Hobbs, N.M., formerly of Norman, died Friday, Oct. 3, 
in Hobbs. Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Griffin Funeral Home in 
Hobbs. 

Mrs. Cross was born Jan. 25, 1910 in Bennington, Okla. She resided in 
Norman from 1980 until 1998, when she returned to New Mexico. Mrs. Cross 
and her husband, Virgil E. Cross, lived in Hobbs for more than 40 years, 
where they raised a family of four sons and one daughter. 

She is survived by her sons James of Mayhill, N.M., Leon of Norman, Virgil 
of Hobbs, N.M.; daughter Helen Mountcastle of Norman; eight grandchildren 
and six great-grandchildren. One son, Tom, preceded her in death.
