Durant Daily Democrat Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Nova Carmack, 81 Services are pending with Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home for Nova Carmack, 81, Durant, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Thursday, March 4, 2004 Nova (Baber) Carmack, 81 A service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home Chapel for Nova (Baber) Carmack, 81, Durant, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. The Rev. Raymond Cross will officiate. The daughter of William and Zella (Plunkett) Baber, she was born Friday, Dec. 1, 1922, in Umpire, Ark. Mrs. Carmack was a longtime Durant resident who came to Bryan County from Umpire at the age of 2. She attended Bennington High School and the Freewill Baptist Church in Durant. She was a member of the Bokchito United Methodist Church. She married Jack Carmack Sept. 25, 1960, in Hugo. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, five brothers, five sisters, and one grandson Larry Donald Armor. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with O’Neil Baber, Walter Baber, Kenenth Gardener, Harold Gardener, Lynn Wood and Joe Sullivan serving as pallbearers. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
