He was born July 12, 1940 in Caddo, Oklahoma, the youngest child of Susan Brookhart Davis and Dr. Howard V. Davis, superintendent of Oklahoma Methodist ministers. Stan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Glenda Sue Neal Davis, his daughters Crystal and Valerie, brother Paul Davis and sister Mary Davis Dulany. Stan was a loving and devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed. Stan graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the class of 1958. he served as student council president and was selected as Boy of the Month at WRHS. Stan graduated from the University of Tulsa in the class of 1962. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, Epsilon Mu chapter, and served as chapter president. Stan started his career as an efficiency expert with Ford Motor Company in California, then moved back to Tulsa to work with his uncle Jay Lewis at State Beauty Supply. From there, Stan went into sales in the computer industry, working for Honeywell. He was recognized multiple times for outstanding salesmanship, including selection for the President's Club in 1974. Stan continued in sales, sales management, and as a sales executive in the computer industry for the rest of his career at Convergent Technologies, Unisys, Parallan, Kalpana, Cisco Systems and Red Creek. He was well-known and respected throughout the industry. His career spanned the days from mainframe systems the size of a house to tiny, powerful desktop models. Stan was an avid golfer. He played all over the world in the course of his travels and shot three holes-in-one over the years. He also enjoyed sailboat racing and growing bamboo. He enjoyed retiring to Texas where the warm winters offered opportunities for his hobbies. The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 28th, in Austin, Texas at First Evangelical Free Church, 4220 Monterey Oaks Boulevard, 78749 www.fefc.org (512-891-1600). The interment will be a private ceremony at the family plot in Glenwood Cemetery in downtown Houston.
