Survivors omitted. Thursday, November 20, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Jimmie Daniels, 85 At 9 a.m. on Nov. 19, 2003, God peacefully called Jimmie Daniels home. He was born Nov. 10, 1918, at Red Fork, to Charlie R. and Alice (Rose) Daniels. As a young boy, he learned to enjoy farming and working with his hands. He married his high school sweetheart, Mildred Holcomb, one week after graduation on April 29, 1944. He spend most of his life in Bryan County. Being a dedicated member of Fairview Baptist Church, his ministry was to grow and tend the church’s beautiful flowers for all to enjoy. He was a carpenter and painter and had painted many homes in the Durant area. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Nellie Vanderventer, and brother Ollie Daniels. A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Darrell Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with pallbearers Benny Phelps, Johnny Corbin, Bud Davis, Stephen Glenn, Frankie Holmes and Jim Richardson.
