Durant Daily Democrat Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Mildred Darnall, 93 Services are pending with Coffey-Murray Funeral Home for Mildred Darnall, 93, Durant, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Thursday, March 4, 2004 Mildred N. Darnall Mildred N. Darnall, longtime resident of Durant, has left this earthly life to live eternally with the Lord. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene on South Ninth Avenue for 59 years. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Lothenore of First Church of the Nazarene will be presiding. Mildred was born July 14, 1910, to Robert L. and Annie Belle (Johnson) McClain in Blanchard. A few years later, the family moved to Durant where she remained until her passing. She married John Stanley Darnall Nov. 27, 1930, in Durant. Mildred was primarily a homemaker, but worked in food service at Durant High School and Bryan County Manor Nursing Home. She leaves behind a family that she loved very much and friends that she cherished. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband on Jan. 28, 1993, brothers Travis, R.L., Robert, Eugene, Willie and Clifford McClain; sisters Lillie LaCour, Bulah Williamson, and Essie Bates, and grand- daughter-in-law Carol Sanborn. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with Chuck Whisman, Bruce Moore, James Garner, R.D. Parker, George Crofford and James Baldwin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Lambert, Alfred Wheller, Mike Hull, George wyatt and the Harmony Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the family home.
